On February 17, 2009, federal law requires that all full-power television broadcast stations stop broadcasting in analog format and broadcast only in digital format. Congress mandated the conversion to all-digital television broadcasting, also known as the digital television (DTV) transition, because all-digital broadcasting will free up frequencies for public safety communications (such as police, fire, and emergency rescue). For more information about the DTV transition, visit www.dtv.gov, which also provides links to several other informative websites, or contact the FCC’s Consumer Center by e-mailing "mailto:dtvinfo@fcc.gov"; calling 1-888-CALL-FCC (1-888-225-5322) or writing to: Federal Communications Commission; Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau; Consumer Inquiries and Complaints Division 445 12th Street, SW Washington, DC 20554.

Blue Bunny is bringing the gelateria experience into restaurants nationwide effective June 1st., by making Blue Bunny Gelato available for the foodservice industry. Gelato, Italian ice cream made from milk, sugar, and other flavorings, has unique characteristics that differentiates it from traditional ice cream: Gelato has significantly less butterfat than the typical 10-18 percent in ice cream. With lower butterfat content, at 5-8 percent, the flavor is more prominent to the tongue and melts in the mouth faster. “Gelato is a different experience than ice cream,” said Denise Gengler, Blue Bunny Marketing Manager – Foodservice National Accounts. “We’ve found that restaurant operators are asking for gelato to provide a ‘Gelateria’ experience for consumers at their favorite restaurant.” Blue Bunny, founded in 1913, is a brand of Wells’ Dairy, Inc. — the largest family-owned and managed dairy processor in the United States. Today, more than 500 Blue Bunny-branded products, including ice cream, frozen dairy desserts and novelties, can be found across the United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
